Ladies, let's talk shoes. That's right. This blog is completely and solely dedicated to shoes, a girls best friend. In this blog, I'll be talking about nothing more than shoes.

I asked some of my family members 'What's the first thing you think of when you think of shoes?' and here's some answers I got:

• Different colors like hot pink and blue.

• Heels.

• Straps.

• Boots.

• Kim Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian has a website that is simply ingenious called shoedazzle.com. Every pair is $40 and you have your own 'show room'. The show room is where they recommend shoes for you based on the shoes you 'like', and the more shoes you like, the better the results are. You're sure to find several shoes that are perfect for you.

My favorite kind of shoes are strappy ones. I can walk in heels but I'm not very good at it. So I always buy shoes that have straps to keep me in them, booties or boots. And as far as heels go, I LOVE THEM!! they make me feel good, like I can do anything. A bit dramatic, I know, but the point is that they make good about myself.

Colors. It's important to have the basics like a pair of white shoes, a black pair and a brown pair. But, man is it fun to go a little wild. I love red shoes. They're classy, bold and feminine so what's not to love?

Yall should see my boots. Guys obviously wear a lot of boots but what about the girls? I live in the mountains of North Carolina so I'm no stranger to cowboy boots. I wear my boots more than anything else. It's where I'm from and who I am. Which brings me to the next part of this blog . . .

. . . Shoes are a lot more than just something you put on your feet. Really think about this the next time you put on your shoes. Your shoes tell a story.

Time; The shoes we wear now are different than the shoes they wore back in the days of Jesus. Today, the higher the heels the better. But that wasn't always the case.

Lifestyle: If you wear steel toed boots then you're probably in construction. If you wear cowboy boots then you live or work on a farm or are just a southerner. If you wear nice dress shoes or heels to work then you're probably an important person in some company.

Shoes can express the way you feel, your personality and what you think of yourself. Whatever you put on your feet, you're going to have to walk and stand in all day. It's obvious that people put a bit of thought into shoes. How could you not? So it only makes sense that the shoes you choose express the kind of person you are at least a little bit, some more than others. And this though is what drove me to write this blog.
